Griffith Creative 2026 Design Launch Celebrates Graduating Students

Griffith College officially launched the Faculty of Design exhibition of Griffith Creative 2026 on the 21st of May, welcoming students, staff, families, friends, alumni, and industry guests to campus for an evening celebrating the work of this year's graduating students. 

The launch night marked the beginning of the annual Design showcase, which featured work from Fashion Design, Graphic Communication Design, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Design, and Art & Design students. 

Opening the Faculty of Design Exhibition 

The launch evening began with speeches from the Head of the Faculty of Design, Deirdre Doherty, followed by Dr. Tomás Mac Eochagáin, Director of Academic Programmes at Griffith College, and finally Kim Mackenzie Doyle, CEO of The Big Idea. 

The speakers reflected on the dedication, creativity and resilience demonstrated by the graduating class throughout their studies and encouraged students to continue developing their skills, enter the workforce with confidence, and embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Student Fashion Show Sponsored by Peroni Nastro Azzuro 

Following the speeches, attendees were treated to the student Fashion Show, sponsored by Peroni Nastro Azzurro. 

The show featured work from graduating Fashion Design students, showcasing a diverse range of concepts, materials and approaches. Guests were given the opportunity to see months of research, development and craftsmanship brought to life on the runway.

Exploring the Exhibitions 

Following the Fashion Show, guests were invited to explore the student exhibitions across campus. 

The exhibitions featured projects from Graphic Communication Design, Interior Architecture and Interior Architecture and Design, Fashion Design, and Art and Design students, showcasing a wide variety of creative projects. From branding and visual communication projects to innovative interior concepts and spatial design solutions, the exhibition highlights the breadth of talent across the Faculty of Design.
