Griffith's International Women's Day Celebrations - Meet Lina María Jiménez Ángel

Meet Lina, a recent Griffith Graduate and former Marketing Intern

Lina was recommended for an internship with the Marketing Office as she had been an exemplary student during the course of her studies and was shortlisted for a Student Award. Throughout Lina’s internship, she contributed hugely to improving various areas of the College and Student experience. Her energy, excellent work ethic, and her friendly demeanour made her an invaluable part of the team. Lina was kind enough to share some of her highlights from both experiences with us.

I chose to pursue the MSc in Global Brand Management because it complemented my Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising. From the moment I saw the course I knew it was what I was looking for.

I really enjoyed the guest speakers during some of our lectures. They allowed me to understand the Irish market and learn about different kinds of businesses in Ireland.

        Friendship

There were two important moments for me: the first one was finding my friends. Four women from different countries… I think they are my soulmates. We built a real friendship, and as classmates, they were spectacular!

The second one was during my internship in the college. The women in the marketing/admissions department were so supportive. From the very first day they were lovely - always friendly and helpful. All of the women in marketing department know exactly how to make you feel happy and welcome.

Lina is a wonderful ambassador for both Colombia and for the Graduate Business School. We are delighted to have been part of Lina’s Griffith journey and we wish her every imaginable success in the future!
