About The Course

Through the Adobe Illustrator for Fashion Design course you will learn to apply your design skills into vector based graphics. This will improve and streamline your garment and textile design process, increasing productivity and accuracy. Throughout the course you will create a final design and fashion illustration board. You will learn how to draw detailed technical flats for the fashion industry, render figure illustrations complete with facial features, skin tone, hair, and fabric rendering. You will master the Pen tool using a simplified approach, and will learn how to maximize the power of Illustrator with Pathfinder, custom brushes and symbols, and layers for quick and easy editing.

You don’t need to have previous experience of the software to take part in our part-time Illustrator course. It is aimed at those who have a keen interest in fashion design and those who are currently working in or studying fashion design. This course will give you useful hands on experience in a leading edge graphic design programme.

Introduction to Adobe Illustrator for Fashion Design

Entry Requirements
Overview Dublin: 
Mature Students - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form. A member of the College’s admissions team will be in touch to discuss your course entry requirements. Under 23 Years - 5 Ordinary Level, Grade D3s or above in your Leaving Certificate (subjects to include Maths and a language) or equivalent exam taken. All applicants must be a user of Microsoft Office.
