The LSMD Centre for Teaching: Outreach Drama Programme for Schools

An LSMD vocal student performing

The Leinster School of Music & Drama is excited to announce our Outreach Drama Programme for Schools with Loreto College Crumlin for an exciting project that will provide opportunities for young people to easily access drama education. The LSMD Outreach Drama Programme for Schools will provide support, accessible tuition and training to the wider community and builds on the high level of talent already present at Loreto College Crumlin.

About the Programme

Over the next 10 weeks, students will prepare for The LSMD Group Drama Examinations under the directorship of Suzanne Binley, who is Programme Director at The Leinster School of Music & Drama, Griffith College Dublin. Students will work together with Suzanne Binley and Transition Year Drama Co-Ordinator Fiona Kelly, a teacher at Loreto College Crumlin. At the end of the programme students will sit their group drama grade exams together and build self-confidence.

From all of us here at The Leinster School of Music & Drama, we would like to wish the students and their teachers every success in the programme. We would particularly like to thank Principal Mary Ellen Murphy and Teacher Fiona Kelly of Loreto College Crumlin, and Suzanne Binley, Kirstie Alison Muldoon and Karen Casey for their hard work and involvement in this project. We can’t wait to share our updates with you over the coming weeks.
