‘HUMAN ERROR’ is an A/W 27 bespoke contemporary collection for today`s urban man. The designer reflects on the gradual loss of traditional craft skills, particularly tailoring, as they are replaced by the corporate world and digital technology. Coming from a family with a proud genealogy of manual labour, the designer celebrates the value of skilled handiwork and regenerates vernacular hand tailoring skills to resurrect this dying trade and bring back our tailoring heritage. The colour palette of black, grey, mustard and burgundy is drawn from the construction of College Square in Dublin City, a modern architectural feat designed to reflect the rhythm and heritage of the local area, situating the collection in the environment where many young people now move toward office-based futures. Fabrics are natural and long-lasting to create streamlined silhouettes with interesting pattern cutting techniques and clever construction that will last the test of time and leave their own legacy.
