Under The Looking Glass is a perennial collection for 26/27. The designer, having moved to Ireland from Latvia drew inspiration from the gardens of Ireland, the biodiversity of insects, and her own happy memories growing up in the Baltic countryside. This elegant collection embodies a natural aesthetic, with a focus on high quality fabrics in sophisticated designs that create a timeless wardrobe. Silhouettes inspired by beetles and ladybirds cocoon the body and boast beautiful, handcrafted techniques such as contemporary smocking and seam details that echo delicate insect wings. Locally sourced, luxurious Irish wool and organic silk come in their natural undyed palette but can be hand dyed to order using nontoxic dyes from botanical waste such as onion skins, oak bark and saffron. This collection will appeal to a woman who values heirloom pieces for go-to elegance, their aesthetic visually rich but also mindful of the natural environment she loves.
