I’m Aleksa Trkulja, and I am the sound mixer/editor for the film ‘Capturing Albatross’. As a person, I'd say I've always had a bit of a keen interest in film, and more recently this interest has evolved more towards sound design in film. Something I've always found quite interesting, particularly in sci-fi, is how sound designers use numerous different techniques to create an atmosphere, and it's something I really wanted to replicate myself in my final-year project. During the production of ‘Capturing Albatross', I used all the technical and theoretical skills that I have learnt during my time here to create the best and most believable atmosphere for the film, and I would honestly say that it is some of my proudest work yet. I look forward to seeing how the final product will turn out and what opportunities might open up for me in the future.
