I am a filmmaker and writer whose work is rooted in close observation and emotional honesty. My writing focuses on character and behaviour, often exploring quiet, unresolved moments drawn from lived experience. Rather than relying on plot, I’m more interested in how emotion can emerge through performance, pacing, and atmosphere. My most recent script, Capturing Albatross, came from a very personal place. When I write, I tend to start with something I don’t fully understand about myself and build from there. In this case, it was the idea of emotional distance, of not always being fully present in the relationships that matter most. I don’t approach writing with a fixed narrative in mind. Instead, I try to follow feelings, shaping scenes around small, truthful moments and allowing the character to reveal themselves over time. Writing becomes a way of confronting parts of myself I’d usually avoid.
